The car made a good impression, being exceptionally fast in a straight line, but financial issues due to the pandemic forced Ginetta to withdraw its entries for the remainder of the season. For the 2019-20 season, the car returned with 2 entries under the Team LNT banner, this time powered by an AER V6 engine. Its entry in the 2018-19 FIA WEC season fell short after financial problems and a disagreement with the ACO. The car made its debut for the CEFC TRSM team at the 2018 24 Hours of Le Mans with a Mecachrome V6 engine. The Ginetta G60-LT-P1 is a non-hybrid Le Mans Prototype built by Ginetta for use in the LMP1 category for the FIA World Endurance Championship, as well as the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
